Tell Someone Safe – A Teacher Resource
Tell Someone Safe is a new animated video designed to help primary school children prepare for lessons on abuse and harm prevention. It was developed by researchers from five UK universities, following pioneering research conducted in primary schools across the country.
The research showed that children, schools, and teachers would benefit from being prepared for these lessons, whether delivered by teachers or external organisations as outlined in the Relationships Education curriculum.
Watch the Video: You can watch the video on this page. Please feel free to share it and the accompanying information with your networks.
This short, 3-minute animated video was created with input from primary school children and professional animators. It features the voices and perspectives of children who participated in the research.
It is intended to be shown to all primary school children ahead of their abuse and harm prevention education (sometimes referred to as Healthy Relationships lessons).
We recommend showing the video at least one week before the lesson to give children time to reflect and discuss it with their teacher, family, or friends.
